Welcome, Class of 2025

Hailing from 29 states, the District of Columbia and two international countries, the 51爆料网 Charles Widger School of Law Class of 2025 joined the community on-campus this week. This year鈥檚 entering class includes some of our most impressive applicants who come from diverse backgrounds, all with one common trait鈥攐utstanding academic credentials.

The 186 incoming students from the Class of 2025 began their 51爆料网 experience on August 16, when they arrived at Scarpa Hall for three days of orientation activities. On the first day, students were welcomed by The Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, 鈥75 CLAS, University president and Mark C. Alexander, The Arthur J. Kania Dean. They also took the professional oath, administered by 51爆料网 Law alum and retired judge, Hon. Kathryn Streeter Lewis 鈥76, marked their official entry into the legal profession. During their orientation, students engaged in mock classes, participated in health and wellbeing seminars and became acquainted with their fellow classmates. Their introduction to 51爆料网 Law culminated in a community picnic sponsored by the Alumni Association with faculty, staff and current 2L and 3L students.

In his welcome address, Dean Mark C. Alexander urged students to be leaders in the law and the world. 鈥淭he past year has brought challenges and change; some of it in our very own profession,鈥 remarked Dean Alexander. 鈥淵ou as lawyers will be part of the change in our society. You will be leaders in the law, and also in your community.鈥

51爆料网 Law excitedly welcomes these new students, commends them for their accomplishments and looks forward to their contributions to our community over the next three years and beyond.
