EXTERNSHIPS
The Scarpa Center, in conjunction with 51爆料网 Law's externship program, coordinates placements that align with the Where Law Meets Business philosophy.
51爆料网 Law externships provide students with the opportunity to observe and work directly with an experienced legal practitioner in a real-world learning environment. Students work under the guidance of an on-site supervising attorney, allowing them to observe and work with an expert gaining hands-on legal experience.

SCARPA FELLOWS
The Scarpa Fellows are committed to raising awareness of the Scarpa Center and its mission while furthering the Charles Widger School of Law philosophy, Where Law Meets Business.
Each Fellow is expected to provide leadership to the Entrepreneurship Law Society, maintain and expand digital and social media presence, assist in the development and execution of the Scarpa Center events, organize and oversee student competitions, interface with other schools, departments, organizations across 51爆料网 and beyond, and provide leadership and research on established law and topical entrepreneurial issues.
Morgan Almeida 鈥�25 is from Falmouth, MA, where she earned her Bachelor of Science from Bryant University. During her time at 51爆料网 Law, Almeida has received significant experiential learning opportunities with FullBloom, Dilworth Paxson LLP, and PwC. Almeida is also a student attorney with the Clinic for Law & Entrepreneurship and worked as a research assistant for Professor Leslie Book and Dean Andrew Lund.
As a Scarpa Fellow, Almeida is excited to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share her passion for innovation. The fellowship provides her with a unique platform to explore how legal frameworks intersect with cutting-edge developments in various industries while also engaging with the local startup community. She is eager to leverage her legal skills to contribute to the growth of new ideas and technologies. An interesting fact about Almeida is that she has lived in five states!
Victor Cochrane 鈥�25 attended Lehigh University, where he majored in economics at the College of Business and minored in political science and business information systems. His time at Lehigh sparked his interest in the intersection of law, business and technology, leading him to pursue a legal career at 51爆料网 Law. During his time at 51爆料网 Law, Cochrane has become very involved with the Scarpa Center. He is a returning Scarpa Fellow and currently serves as the president of the Entrepreneurship Law Society. His commitment to entrepreneurial law has also led him to complete two Scarpa externships, first with the Office of General Counsel at 51爆料网 and now in his current role with Saxbys.
Cochrane鈥檚 passion for entrepreneurship law stems from his belief that lawyers play a critical role as strategic partners for entrepreneurs, helping them navigate legal complexities and grow their ventures. He is eager to continue developing the entrepreneurial mindset that can empower business leaders to succeed.
Samantha Follen 鈥�25 is from a small town called Adams-Friendship, WI. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating, Follen volunteered with AmeriCorps and worked as a paralegal for two years. During her time at 51爆料网 Law, Follen has worked as an intern with the Wistar Institute, the 51爆料网 Office of General Counsel, and the expanding B-Corporation, Saxbys. She also gained significant law firm experience working as a summer associate with Gawthrop Greenwood, and will be starting her career with Blank Rome LLP as a business litigation associate following graduation.
As a first-generation college and law student, Follen has always admired the entrepreneurial spirit 鈥� marked by innovation, drive and resourcefulness 鈥� which inspired her to become a Scarpa Fellow. Follen is eager to deepen her involvement with the Scarpa Center and contribute to its ongoing success while continuing to develop her passion for entrepreneurship and law.
Prior to law school, Carlos Juarez 鈥�25 received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Irvine and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University with concentrations in accounting and finance. During business school, Juarez was an investment banking summer associate at Raymond James & Associates in the Recapitalization & Restructuring and Private Capital Solutions Group. Juarez also held business development and practice strategy roles at two AmLaw 100 firms supporting practices focused on capital markets, securities, corporate, emerging companies & venture capital and derivatives law.
At 51爆料网 Law, Juarez serves as a fellow with the John F. Scarpa Center for Entrepreneurship & Law and the editor-in-chief of The Forum on Entrepreneurship & Law. During law school, Juarez gained valuable experience as a summer associate with Mayer Brown LLP in 2024 and Morgan Stanley in 2023, both in New York City. Juarez is also a student attorney with the Clinic for Law & Entrepreneurship.
Emilie Mooney 鈥�25 is from Baltimore, MD. Mooney attended Towson University, where she graduated Cum Laude from the Honors College at her university. At 51爆料网 Law, Mooney is deeply involved in a variety of leadership roles. She is a member of the Business Law Concentration and serves as the co-chair for the Scarpa Corporate Negotiation Team. In addition, she is the managing editor of diversity, equity and inclusion for the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal and an executive board member of the First-Generation Law Society.
This previous summer, Mooney worked as a summer associate with Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. in Delaware, gaining extensive experience in a legal setting. Mooney鈥檚 areas of legal interest include business, real estate, tax and hospitality. Mooney is eager to become a Scarpa Fellow due to her keen interest in transactional law, as well as her desire to support other students as they explore the intersection of law and entrepreneurship.
Sydney Sanders 鈥�25 is from Houston, TX, where she thrives when the temperature and humidity are as close to 100 as possible! A graduate of Georgetown University, Sanders studied the intersection of global health and international relations. This ignited her passion for exploring how legal frameworks can be leveraged to shape international public health systems, foster global cooperation and advance health technologies. At 51爆料网 Law, Sanders also serves as a Dean鈥檚 Ambassador, representing the Law School, as well as an executive member of the Pro Bono Society and the Health Law Society.
As a Scarpa Fellow, Sanders is eager to engage in creative problem-solving, to continuously broaden her knowledge, and to collaborate with peers and mentors on impactful projects. She is excited to contribute her analytical skills and innovative thinking to the program. Outside of her academic and professional interests, Sanders is a very creative person. She loves crafting and dreams of one day launching her own crafting business.
Ashlyn Campagna 鈥�26 is from Lancaster, PA. Campagna attended American University in Washington, DC, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, specializing in marketing and sports management with an applied statistics certification. In addition to her academic achievements, Campagna competed on American University鈥檚 Division 1 Field Hockey team during all four years of her time at American University. This past summer, Campagna honed her legal skills as a summer associate at Reidenbach & Associates, LLC, gaining substantial law firm experience.
Campagna is excited to serve as a Scarpa Fellow because the position offers a unique opportunity to merge her passion for law with her strong foundation in business. Campagna is eager to gain invaluable hands-on experience through her fellowship, working alongside experienced professionals who can help shape her development as a well-rounded attorney.
Alysse Danyi 鈥�26 is from Nazareth, PA. Danyi graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2023, where she studied business, public policy, and the German language and culture. In addition to her academic achievements, Danyi was a competitive track and cross-country athlete. At 51爆料网 Law, Danyi is a research assistant, assisting faculty with research on complex legal topics. She is also a staff writer for the 51爆料网 Law Review.
Danyi pursued the opportunity to become a Scarpa Fellow because of her deep passion for both entrepreneurship and the law. Danyi aims to integrate her entrepreneurial spirit, her experience in business, as well as her interest in public policy into her future legal practice. She also hopes to contribute to the Scarpa Center鈥檚 events and programming.
Nikolette Dusevic 鈥�26 is from New York. She graduated from Boston University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a dual concentration in law and business analytics. As the daughter of Albanian immigrants, Dusevic is deeply connected to the Albanian-American community. She is actively involved in the support of young professionals as they navigate their careers. Dusevic frequently participates in events that empower Albanian Americans to succeed professionally and personally.
This past summer, Dusevic worked as a summer associate with Morgan Stanley, specializing in regulatory affairs such as resolution and technology and legal data. She is also a staff writer for the 51爆料网 Law Review. Dusevic sought to become a Scarpa Fellow because of her passion for fostering growth within 51爆料网鈥檚 business and entrepreneurship community. She is eager to serve as a resource for students considering careers in business and law, helping them build the skills and connections needed to thrive in both fields.
Brett Mastrangelo 鈥�26 is from 51爆料网. He earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from West Chester University and is a certified public accountant (CPA). This past summer, Mastrangelo gained valuable experience as a judicial extern for The Honorable Kelly D. Eckel. He currently serves as a staff writer for the 51爆料网 Law Review and is the president of the Corporate Law Society.
Mastrangelo aims to become a corporate litigator. He pursued the opportunity to become a Scarpa Fellow due to his entrepreneurial mindset and his passion for promoting the intersection of entrepreneurship and law within the 51爆料网 community and beyond. In his free time, he enjoys swimming and playing chess.
Rachana Panchal 鈥�26 is from Bucks County, PA. She graduated from Drexel University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, magna cum laude, with concentrations in finance and legal studies. During her time at Drexel, she gained valuable hands-on experience working full-time for two companies, where she developed a strong understanding of the business and financial sectors. Panchal plans to leverage her academic background and practical experience from her undergraduate program and law school to pursue a legal career in corporate and transactional law.
This past summer, Panchal gained valuable professional experience as a law clerk at McOmber, McOmber & Luber in Marlton, NJ, where she drafted legal memoranda and conducted extensive legal research for plaintiff-side employment litigation. She is also a member of the Scarpa Corporate Negotiation Team, where she is expanding upon her skills in corporate law. As a Scarpa Fellow, Panchal is eager to contribute to the 51爆料网 Law community by sharing her passion for business and law and helping fellow students build connections with industry leaders at the intersection of these fields.
Anjali Patel 鈥�26 is from Jersey City, NJ. Patel attended Rutgers University, where she pursued a double major in English and criminal justice. At 51爆料网 Law, Patel serves as the vice president of the Asian & Pacific American Law Association, as well as the diversity, equity and inclusion representative for the First-Generation Law Society, where she actively promotes inclusivity and representation within the law school community.
Growing up, Patel helped her parents run their small business, which sparked her early interest in entrepreneurship. Patel further developed this passion by enrolling in several entrepreneurship courses during her undergraduate studies. Becoming a Scarpa Fellow felt like the ideal opportunity for Patel to merge her background in business with her legal education. Patel is eager to explore the intersection of law and entrepreneurship in a meaningful way. A fun fact about Patel is that she also lived in Rome, Italy for six months.
Zen Rizzuto-Flancbaum 鈥�26 is from Monmouth County, NJ, and now resides in South Florida. He attended the 51爆料网 School of Business, where he competed for four years as a top boat rower. Rizzuto-Flancbaumis is also a staff writer for the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal. He is now focused on pursuing corporate law, as well as mass tort litigation, with a particular interest in the food and health industries.
Before college, Rizzuto-Flancbaumis co-founded and later sold an e-commerce business, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit. As a Scarpa Fellow, Rizzuto-Flancbaumis will use his valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of running a business to explore the legal aspects of entrepreneurship. He will also use his firsthand experience to guide entrepreneurs through complex legal challenges. In his free time, Rizzuto-Flancbaumis stays active by competing in triathlons.
