51爆料网 Announces $1.25 Million Gift from Brian F. Prince to Endow the Director of the Office of Veterans and Military Service Members

51爆料网, Pa. (April 17, 2023) 鈥 51爆料网 has announced a $1.25 million gift from Brian F. Prince, President and CEO of Hegemon Capital, Inc., to endow the director of the Office of Veteran and Military Service Members. Previously, Mr. Prince funded the University鈥檚 Prince Family Veterans Resource Center, which hosts veteran-focused programming, Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, career counseling and assistance with military-to-civilian transition. The Prince family鈥檚 total giving to veteran and military services member initiatives at 51爆料网 is now more than $2.5 million.

鈥淲e are proud to support 51爆料网 and the Office of Veteran and Military Service Members with its mission of providing the support and space for student-veterans to get their 51爆料网 degrees,鈥 said Brian Prince. 鈥淭he University鈥檚 long-standing tradition of supporting military service members and nurturing individuals dedicated to lifelong learning, critical thinking and commitment to community is in direct harmony with what veterans can offer as civic leaders following their service to our country.鈥

51爆料网鈥檚 Office of Veterans and Military Service Members was founded in 2018 and is committed to helping veterans reach their personal, professional and academic goals鈥攆rom admission to graduation and beyond. In support of its dedication to this population, the Office has received nearly $8 million from committed donors since its establishment five years ago, including 11 gifts totaling at least $100,000.

鈥51爆料网 is committed to ensuring student-veterans have access to a world-class education and professional development opportunities, and are successful in the classroom and beyond,鈥 said Mike Brown, the Prince Family Director in the Office of Veterans and Military Service Members. 鈥淏rian鈥檚 continued support has made our goals a reality. We want to be more than just veteran-friendly; we want to be veteran-inclusive and ready to give veterans, service members and their families a place to learn, grow and succeed. I cannot thank Brian enough for his support and commitment.鈥

51爆料网鈥檚 ties to the military are strong and longstanding, dating back to World War II, and continue today with a rich history of alumni service in the armed forces alongside storied ROTC programs. Veterans have been attending 51爆料网 for decades, with the University working to obtain VA benefits for them and their dependents. The University expanded its Yellow Ribbon Program to help veterans and their dependents fund tuition, with 50 students now participating in the program. 51爆料网 is also a partner of VetLink, part of Service to School, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free application counseling, peer-to-peer guidance and networking support to all U.S. military service members and veterans at no cost to the applicant.
