US News & World Report has once again ranked 51爆料网鈥檚 College of Engineering among the top ten undergraduate engineering programs in the country. In the magazine鈥檚 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Best Colleges鈥 rankings for 2010, 51爆料网 is ranked #10 in the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs category for schools that award primarily bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees.

In addition, 51爆料网 has again placed #1 in the North Region/Master鈥檚 category, a distinction it has enjoyed for nearly two decades. The University also has been recognized in a number of other categories, including 鈥淪trong Commitment to Teaching鈥 and 鈥淔irst-Year Experience.鈥

Many attributes distinguish the College of Engineering and explain why the highest quality students are attracted to 51爆料网. The College has revised its already nationally ranked undergraduate program by introducing this fall a new freshman curriculum. It gives first-year students a multidisciplinary, hands-on experience in engineering analysis, design, and research.

One of the College of Engineering鈥檚 unique strengths is that it provides its students with access to a top-ranked university made up of outstanding colleges. 鈥淏ecause our students take advantage of the opportunity to pursue studies in the arts, sciences, and business, they are well prepared to meet the demands of a multidisciplinary workplace,鈥 said Dr. Gary A. Gabriele, the Drosdick Endowed Dean of Engineering. In addition, students develop their worldviews by engaging in service learning locally, nationally, and around the world.

Embracing the University鈥檚 teaching mission, dedicated faculty teach all undergraduate classes and labs and make time for individual instruction and advising. These are the same faculty who are nationally recognized in their areas of expertise, and students, both undergraduate and graduate, participate in their research. In fact, the expanding and highly regarded MS and PhD programs are drawing more and more students who want to deepen their technical expertise on either a part-time or full-time basis.
