Engineering Alumni Society Honors Distinguished Alumni

To honor the contributions of their fellow 51爆料网 Engineers, the Engineering Alumni Society (EAS) presented its annual awards to alumni who exemplify service, leadership, excellence, and stewardship of technical advancement on September 9. The program began with a welcome from Robert F. Gordon ChE 鈥80, Chairman of the Alumni Awards Committee, and remarks by Rev. Peter M. Donohue, O.S.A, Ph.D., University President, followed by the presentation of awards by Alexander J. Fazzini CE 鈥74, President of EAS.

The following alumni received recognition for their professional success and service to the College of Engineering.

Alumni Award for Professional Achievement: recognizes contributions to technology through substantial achievements in marketing, management, or entrepreneurship as well as achievements in strictly technical fields.

  • Jessica Bradley Sant CpE鈥00, Senior Manager of Engineering for Comcast Interactive Media in Philadelphia
  • Joseph P. Lingle CE鈥90, MSCE鈥97, Head of Global Program Integration for Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics in Holly Springs, N.C.
  • Kevin P. White ChE鈥80, Project Manager for Dupont in Wilmington, Del.
  • Nicholas A. Calio ME鈥65, President of the Orion Resdel Corporation in Rio Grande, N.J.

Alumni Award for Meritorious Service: recognizes alumni who have given continuing support to the College of Engineering, have been instrumental in directing the proper type of young men and women to 51爆料网, and have been willing to give their support to assist the education activities of the College.

  • Marie V. Maguire EE 鈥69, Vice President and Co-Founder of Caramanico Maguire Associates, Inc.
  • Karl F. Schmidt CE 鈥78, MSCE 鈥82, Vice President, Strategy and Innovation across Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain
  • Joseph J. McMullen, Jr. ChE 鈥00, MBA 鈥04, Product Marketing Manager for the SimSci-Esscor brand within Invensys Operations Management
  • Vincent J. D鈥橧mperio, Jr., MSME 鈥87, Manager of the Energy Engineering Team responsible for developing large capital projects in the emerging energy field at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

The Carl T. Humphrey Memorial Award: recognizes the professional achievements, with emphasis placed on demonstrated leadership or substantial technical contributions, of an alumnus who how holds a master鈥檚 degree from 51爆料网鈥檚 College of Engineering.

The John J. Gallen Memorial Award: recognizes the achievement of those whose technical efforts yield advances in the engineering profession.

The J. Stanley Morehouse Memorial Award: recognizes outstanding leadership, as demonstrated in the planning or the administration of activities involving or related to the engineering profession.
