CASE, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, is an international professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas.

In announcing the award鈥攖he College鈥檚 first from this organization鈥擟hristine E. Corrado, a member of the Accolades Awards Executive Committee, provided highlights of the judges' comments:

鈥淲e found this piece covered the most information in a creative and concise way. Overall we were impressed by the photography and presentation of important information鈥攗se of pop-out quotes and stats. We liked that the back cover had information that students and parents often look for. This submission was one of the only entries that provided concrete results.鈥

The College鈥檚 new viewbook highlights stories about students and faculty doing their part to make an impact and ignite change. Quotes, facts and figures are displayed prominently throughout the 25-page publication, which includes a spread for each of the College鈥檚 five undergraduate degrees. Student research, program minors, service and STEM outreach also are featured, as are student outcomes and a sampling of alumni change makers.

College of Engineering Director of Communications Kimberly Shimer, who produced the content of the viewbook, calls the award 鈥渢he highlight of my professional career.鈥 鈥淢y goal was to style our publication to reflect the branding and image of the University鈥檚 viewbook, thereby creating a closer connection between the two,鈥 she explains. The piece was designed in-house by University Creative Services designer Johanna Roebas.

In addition to the CASE award, the College鈥檚 viewbook also received a 2016 Honorable Mention 鈥淐UPPIE Award鈥 from CUPRAP鈥擟ollege and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals.
